Machu Picchu

This is by far one of my top 3 favorite places in the world. It was incredible, I felt like I was in a movie looking at a green screen. We woke up at 3:57am and hiked 1,712 stairs to watch the sun rise over the mountains. It was absolutely breathtaking

Peru

We made it!! From Boston to Florida to Lima to Cusco we are finally situated. Cusco is a city surrounded by mountains and topped with red roofs. It's old charm still lurks around every corner and staggering staircase. The altitude reminds you, not by your own choice, to take in the beauty all around the city (usually while panting and holding onto ANY clay structure in arms length) 

It is amazing to be back with Allie and Emily, the people who helped spark and share my love for adventure and travel. 

New Orleans, LA, USA

Here we are on another adventure in Nee Orleans for Mardi Gras! Maddie, Allie, and I drove down from Charleston for our spring break. Our hostel is awesome and right next to a trolley for easy access to the French quarter. We went out yesterday and saw a couple of parades, watched street performers, ate king cake, drank a hand grenade, ate beignets, and po boys. Life is good!

To put my coins to good use I made a bracelet out of them. I love it and it reminds me of all the amazing places I have been and the people I have met.

Going home

As I write this I am sitting in the Frankfurt international airport. It is an unreal feeling going home. I am so happy to see my family, friends, and familiar surrounding again. At the same time I know I am going to miss traveling and going wherever the wind takes me. I have had the most amazing five months of my life. I cannot thank my parents enough for the opportunity they gave me. I am so lucky. These experiences will change and shape my life forever and I know that everyone will be sick of hearing my stories eventually! But right now I can't wait to get on this ten hour flight and touch down in good old Boston, USA!!
